Futurism is the fascist artform! Its good that fascism did not lean on this romantic, traditionalist art that nazism did. I didnt find anny other good links on it than the one below, but one of the sites I visited said "The futurists where the first cyber-punks" Cutting Edge!

Also, if you just do a picture search on google (write futurism) a lot of cool pictures pop upp.

Perhaps if my education doesnt work out, I should become a insane futurist artist! Smile

I think you'd make a better living as an Abstract Art Artist since nobody understands them - but hey you get paid.

I'm not exactly certain. I've done some reading on Futurism - The movement sounds quite interesting, but I still have a great love and reverence for the old stuff - Roman imperial architecture which the Fascists brought back to Italy in the 1920's, most of the classical art that was preserved in Germany under Hitler, etc.

New regimes need new art. Combinations can also be cool - making something oldfashioned in a new style, ore the other way around.

Futurism is still part of decadentism, it was a way to get over modernity. In fact, it is most active before World War I. Many futurists will then adhere to fascism, but not all of them.

I still favour traditional aesthetics.

I like the classic, but a mix of the old and the new could be interresting.

Overall, I am a traditionalist. But certain new forms of art must be allowed to emerge. Not everything new is decadent.
